Requirements

  • You must be a current member of the USPA and hold an "A" license or higher.
  • If you do not have a license you will have to be cleared by our staff Instructor or Examiner.
  • All equipment must be maintained to the standards of the USPA.
  • Be sure to bring your logbooks, ratings, and USPA membership card.
  • AAD's are required for student jumps only, but highly recommended for everyone.
  • All gear must be TSO'd (unless foreign guest) and have a reserve in date with data card.
  • You must be 18 years of age to skydive at WV Skydivers.


Rules

  • Your rig must be on with leg and chest straps correctly threaded prior to boarding.
  • Helmets and seat belts must be worn while in the aircraft until 1,000 feet AGL.
  • Avoid landing on the runway. If you do land on the runway gather your gear as quickly as possible and move to a safer location.
  • Drug use will not be permitted.
  • NO alcohol consumption allowed on the premises or by any jumper until the last load of the day has taken off and the beer light has been turned on.
  • Failure to comply will keep you grounded and you will not be allowed back on the premises until the beer light is on.
  • No DZ politics are allowed after the beer light comes on. All issues should be addressed in a professional setting during regular hours or in private consensual discussions.

Experienced Jumper Rules & Requirements

WV Skydivers is a group member of the United States Parachute Association (USPA), which means that we agree, in the interests of safety and good communications, to abide by the safety standards they set. This also means that all of our instructional staff is certified by the USPA.
